Merrimu Services Inc is a non profit organization, which offers activities for adult people with intellectual, physical, multiple, sensory, dual disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Merrimu currently operates from two locations, one in Bacchus Marsh and another in Melton.
Value to Customer
The ethos of the organisation is to promote individuals’ growth as a participating citizen within an inclusive society. To work towards this, Merrimu’s activity options comprise of traditional day programs; which includes community access, participation at community venues and inclusive practices. People can access the community, with support, without attending the service base. A combination of both options is also offered. Out of hours support is offered to people for community inclusive activities. People can be full or part time participants. Merrimu offers respite holidays and after hour’s group activities. All activities are developed from people’s requests and aspirations; the focus is to improve people’s life using a person centred approach.
